Kareena Kapoor's had enough of invasive questions about her personal life. And in her usual dramatic style, she lashed out recently with a statement meant to quell all future nosy parkers.
"Earlier it was when are they [Saif Ali Khan and Kareena] going to get married? Now everyone wants to know when is she having a baby?," said Kareena in an interview with Marie Claire.
"Who knows, I might even decide not to have kids. I am just 32. And Saif already has two kids. We are not a typical Indian couple who got married just so they can have a child. We are modern."
Good point well made, Kareena.
She also opened up about her pet peeve - people's perception of married actresses in Bollywood.
"I am working with Imran Khan who is younger! After my marriage! Isn't that enough to bust this theory?" asked Kareena, commenting on the notion that because she's married she will not get great roles and she will slowly put acting on the back burner.
"I think people who think that married actresses are over are jaded. And I don't hang out with archaic people. We are in 2013. And it was my choice to get married and still pursue my career."
"Saif is like why do people ask us about our marriage all the time. And no wonder India is still in the dinosaurs age," she added.
But will all this tongue lashing enter the thick skulls of the media and the public? We suspect not - at least not at first. So keep it up, Kareena. They will hear you sooner or later.
